La-Z-Boy’s new Modern Pedestal and Swivel Glider Collection offers no ordinary selection of swivel gliding recliners but also has new pedestal chairs compared to our other products. To familiarise yourself with both, let’s take a look at the pedestals and the glider recliners separately.

Pedestal Chairs

The pedestal chairs in this collection are designed for those who want a modern twist on a recliner. But you might be wondering, these recliners look familiar, right? 

Well, if you’ve ever shopped from Stressless, you might notice these pedestal designs are very similar. La-Z-Boy has taken inspiration from these models and made our creations, with comparable prices that rival Stressless.

Our pedestal chairs are available in three models: the Orta, the Rena, and the Aura. These chairs offer a recliner and ottoman combination, providing exceptional comfort and style. The Aura model even features a telescopic headrest for added neck support, similar to a car seat.

Each model is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large, ensuring everyone can find their perfect fit.

Features of Pedestal Chairs:

• Adjustable Tilting Headrest: Customizable for personalized comfort.
• Premium Leather Options: Available in 7 top-grain protected pigmented leather colours, providing a luxurious feel.

Swivel Gliding Recliners

For those who prefer a combination of reclining and gliding, La-Z-Boy’s Swivel Gliding Recliners are an excellent choice. This collection includes four models: the Namsen, the Tya, the Muru, and the Benga. 

Although La-Z-Boy already has swivel gliding recliners in its selection, these latest additions add some new features not available on other frames. For example, these reclining chairs are available in standard and large sizes, as well as manually adjustable headrests for better comfort. What’s more, the Tya also features a telescopic headrest, just like the Aura.

Each model offers a unique blend of features, with options for manual or power reclining and various levels of customization.

Features of the Swivel Gliding Recliners:

• Cold-Cured Foam: The 3.5-density foam in both the seat and back ensures comfort and durability over time.
• Durable Construction: Built with a hardwood and rubberwood frame for added strength and stability.
• Swivel Base: Manual models swivel 360 degrees, while power models swivel 280 degrees for smooth motion.
• Removable Back: Easy assembly with a removable metal back that requires no tools.
• Glider Lock: Rear-locking function to disable the gliding motion for extra stability.

Manual pedestal and swivel recliners can have a starting price range of $2,399 to $2,299, while power models can have a starting price of $3,199 to $3,799.

• Manual Swivel Chairs: Adding a swivel base to a pedestal chair or recliner starts at an additional $200 when factory-installed or $250 if installed at a warehouse.
• Power Swivel Chairs: Power swivel bases start at an additional $300 when factory installed or $350 if added at the warehouse.

Warranty

Each product in the Modern Pedestal & Swivel Glider Collection is covered by a La-Z-Boy warranty that is different from our regular Limited Lifetime Warranty. International products will normally cost more than local La-Z-Boy products, but this does not mean they are not worth investing in. For example, Stressless pedestal chairs, which have the same design, have a comparable price to these chairs, some of these products being best sellers in their stores. 

Furthermore, these swivel and pedestal chairs offer a great blend of functionality and style. As mentioned before, these chairs are the first of our products to feature manually adjustable headrests, which are more affordable than our regular power recliners with adjustable headrests and lumbar support. If you’re looking for a more affordable option that isn't in power, this product could be right for you.

What’s more, these recliner chairs also offer the ability to stop the gliding mechanism when desired, another thing our regular swivel gliders do not have. And, they are all available in exclusive leather upholstery covers that are not seen on other products on our showroom floor.

If you’re looking for fabric pieces, however, you are out of luck in this collection, as all products are currently only available in leather covers in our Ottawa and Kingston locations. 

Lastly, the Pedestal and Swivel Glider Collection offers great sizing options, with even the largest designs being able to suit smaller spaces. Not only that, but their slim shape also makes them perfect for easy traffic flow in tight spaces.
