We had our appointment changed multiple times, due to COVID shutdowns. Each time, Mitch communicated promptly to try and set up a new date. We eventually came up with a date to meet with both Mitch and Michelle, the interior decorator. She arranged a great plan and helped us to finalize the furniture and finishes to suit our oddly shaped living room. Mitch, we found out, came in on his day off, just to accommodate our preferred date. He was incredibly helpful, not pushy( which I really appreciate), very knowledgeable and a very nice person. Overall, it was a great experience, now we just have to wait almost 12 months to see our furniture! We can’t wait!

We were looking to replace our old La-Z-Boy recliner with a new one but weren't able to visit the La-Z-Boy store in Kanata due to Covid restrictions. We were interested in getting an in-stock item due to long lead times of custom orders. We checked the La-Z-Boy website and found a good selection of in-store sales and, with the help of Mitch, were able to find the perfect chair. Mitch was very helpful in helping us through the process - we confirmed the order on Sunday and picked it up the next day from the store loading dock. Sales lady really turned us off. She kept talking about her house, her preferred furniture choices. Never answered my wife questions. Products were good quality, a bit highly priced and unavailable. They wanted us to plop down $2k as a 50% deposit on two recliners and they said they may arrive as early as 21 weeks from now. I realise the pandemic is tough on everyone but I'm not going to hand over $2,000 in an environment where they may go under and then have to wait 5+ months for the 2 chairs we wanted and hope they arrive.

Bought a $4000 leather sofa in 2016. It sagged and had to be replaced within a year. In 2020 the leather/ paint wore off. Called company for either a replacement or a fix. They indicated manufacturers warranty had expired. I have had leather furniture for 15 years and this never happened very disappointed in Lazy Boy.

Furniture ordered 5 months ago. After many many months of horrible service and calling constantly to find out status. It finally arrives!To be missing parts which they say will be a major repair and miss matched parts.So probably months to come. They will take your money but after, your screwed!

I purchased a whole living room set down to the area rug from Lazy Boy 5 years ago. At the time because the bill was $8000 we chose to get the 5 year warranty. 2 months ago we notice some flaws in the leather sofa. They sent someone to our home to check it out and because it was a manufacturing flaw they offered us a new one. We picked out another sofa and they picked up the old one and delivered the new at no extra charge.

Also, we have been treated very fairly as a result. My husband and I look rather young and are sometimes treated that way. We are building a house and stopped into this store for the first time recently. We were not greeted whatsoever for our entire time there and witnessed staff greeting customers that came in after us.

**Update 2**After the manager contacted me to make arrangements, she indicated she would personally let me know if there were further delays and would keep a close eye on the status of our chair production so there were no surpsies. Today I recieved an email from our sales person indicating our chair would not be in until maybe mid July. The manager told us that the chair would be shipped on May 24 and arriving no more than 2 weeks later.I have asked for my cancellation options and am awaiting a reply. Bottom line - avoid shopping here unless you want constant delays. I will continue to update this review as needed.**Update 1**- I left my original review below for transparency. After the review I was contacted by phone by a store manager (Randa) who was friendly, informative and apologetic. More importantly, she offered reasonable solutions (temporarily borrowing a chair, or changing our order) and worked to get us a more firm delivery date. In the end it seems that our chair will arrive only slightly delayed from what was promised, with the promise that if it extends beyond that, we can use one of the proposed solutions. The communication and problem solving by Randa was appreciated. We are looking forward to our chair. If there are any other snags in our process, I will be sure to update this review again.-ORIGINAL BELOW-Shopping experience was good. Went in December to buy a recliner for our nursery (baby was expected end of March) and told that it would be done end of May/end of June. Salesperson was confident that this would be the absolute latest. Called today to get an update - now likely end of June or longer. Hoping we get to use this chair by the time our baby is a toddler... It's not like covid/production issues are new. We've been doing this for over a year and the fact that they can't give a reasonable date estimate is frustrating. I guess anything for the sale....

Excellent service even during the covid lockdown! Kim was great at showing us around the store by video, understood quickly what I wanted in a recliner and showed us the perfect chair at a great price. She even brought it outside so I could sit in it and get a feel for how it would fit me. We picked up a brand new one at the warehouse a few days later and after a week-long test drive. I still love it.

Wonderful experience!!! Not only did we get a great chair, we got great service, from the time I had Kim W answer the phone, first pleasure, not speaking to a machine. Second was the complete understanding on her part, which made my decision so much easier. I thought her ingenious , when she went as far as to sit in each style available to me(so I could get a fisual), above and beyond delivery gentlemen as well. I cannot thank all of you enough for helping my mother get more comfortable in her last days. 💯% great to deal with! Thank you all so much!

Sales service was very good and attentive. But service department was terrible. Told chairs have lifetime warranty. Then find out only on parts you need to pay for labour. Wait three weeks then called and told cost would be twice what was originally quoted and weren't even sure they would be able to fix so warranty is useless!!!

We just bought a loveseat and had a great shopping experience while doing it. We initially had Racha Pharaon serve us a year ago (pre-Covid lockdown) and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Despite a lengthy delay in finalizing the purchase, she remembered us the other day as we came in (and our preferences) and helped complete our sale with enthusiasm and professionalism. She took the time to listen to us, pick our color and material and listed all our options again and again!! lol!! If all staff in all stores were this helpful shopping might become actual fun!

After waiting 15 weeks for the chair delivery, have finally received the product to discover issues with padding as well as wrinkling of fabric due to it. Quite a disappointment considering paying extra for the fabric. Called customer service and the defects were admitted after a technician visit. However been another month with no updates. The company name definitely explains it though. Still, my dad loves the chair and i'm yet to find a better recliner amongst other manufacturers.

I helped pick this out for my elderly mum. I fell in love with the petite design. I tested it in CA and helped coordinate the purchase in Canada. It arrived today. She has been absolutely gushing with joy over it! She can’t stop talking about how comfortable it is and how easy it is to use. It has given her some renewed confidence and given me some peace of mind. The salesman in Canada was very helpful! I highly recommend!

very disappointed service!!We bought our sofas from them, it is made of fabric and we bought also warranty because they said if any type of stain happens, the warranty covers it.So when I called them to clean the stain, i book an appointment , and someone came and took photos then they told me that kind of stain we don’t do it..You have to call someone professional to do it,So now I don’t know why I paid for warranty which is useless, and I pay too much because I took all my furniture from that store.and no help at the end.

Although we have not received our furniture yet, I want to share what a positive experience we had in dealing with the staff at La-Z-Boy, Hunt Club; from the sales rep Racha, the in-house designer Déa and the manager Peter, we could not have asked for more. Racha spent a long time helping us find the right living room furniture, discussing the pros and cons of various sofas. She was very patient and knowledgeable. We dropped in by chance and although we live in the East End, Racha's great service made it worthwhile to drive back to Hunt Club to order our custom sofas. Déa, the in-house designer, assisted us with measurements and layout as well as colour choice and fabrics. We were lucky enough to chat with the manager Peter, who is accommodating and professional. Turning our new house into a home has been so much easier with their assistance and expertise. Highly recommended!

We bought a $2800 recliner from Tim and did so because of his ability to listen to what we were looking for and to show us what was suitable for our needs. He was a breath of fresh air compared to what we encountered at the competition.The chair had to be built and Tim told us it would take 6-8 weeks. It was ready in 6 weeks and we received a call concerning scheduling a delivery, as we had paid an additional $99 plus tax for delivery. We do not recall being told at the time we purchased the chair that a 12 hour window (i.e. all day) was required for delivery and that the delivery staff only worked Monday to Friday. We are retired and it was a week before they could schedule a delivery for us so I have no idea what a person still working does other than take a day off work to accommodate Lazy Boy's less than adequate delivery system. We got it delivered privately within 2 days for less money and with a 2 hour window.This is a follow up following the owner's response;I may be mistaken about the Monday to Friday delivery days as, when I spoke to the scheduling girl on Wednesday evening, she advised me that the earliest possible date for delivery was the following Tuesday. We were not happy it was going to take that long to get a chair we had waited so long for but, when I told her we were available after lunch on the Tuesday she told me that you required a 12 hour window. It is unfortunate that your scheduling staff apparently are not better informed and, as I live within 5 kilometers of your store, I am surprised that we do not qualify for your daily delivery. Perhaps this is somehting else your scheduling staff need to be informed about?This is a further follow up to my review and it relates to our unsuccessful attempts to get warranty service on our chair. I have reduced the rating as deserved.We bought an upgraded foam seat on our $3000 recliner. We were away through February & March but when we got home it was apparent that the 'firm' foam was failing. I realize that the end of March was Covid 19 slow down time but I left repeated voice mail messages at the store but never got a call back. I then called the La-Z-Boy US call center on April 15th and had them open a Case #. I finally got a call back from the Ottawa store in mid May advising me that they were ordering the foam required to repair the chair. As I had heard nothing further by June 17th, I again called the Ottawa store. No one answers the phones anymore (?) so I left a message asking that a manager call me back. This morning (June 18th) I missed a call which happened to be the Ottawa La-Z-Boy repair service. They left a message stating that the foam had arrived yesterday (coincidence???) and requesting that I call back to extension 1233 to schedule a service appointment. I happily called back only to sadly discover that their phone system does not allow you to dial an extension! Too high tech perhaps?

My furniture was delivered early this morning by two very professional and polite movers. Once I get used to the new look, I will love it even more. Beautiful and very comfortable swivel chairs look perfect! The only thing that bothers me is that I should have requested two rectangular cushions for the sofa. My experience with Sandra Elnounou, was a pleasant one and she was so helpful in making this happen for me. I recommend her highly. I will, however follow up on an extra cushion to balance out the sofa.

Staff were very aggressive. After asking to be left to browse a little, the staff member returned 2 minutes later and ask why I wasn't looking at sofa's if that's what I came in for. Left after realizing that we were not allowed to browse. Bought a sofa from Dufresne instead that day. Thank you. Wouldn't have went there without the push from the over aggressive sales people.

Getting service help is frustrating as you have to deal with the salesman first who doesn't follow through for customer satisfaction. My 2 month old lazy boy rocker recliner needs repair for lumbar support or replacement (the foam has suddenly flattened out and is now uncomfortable to use). This is very unexpected and disturbing to me as I have owned several of these chairs over the years with no problems.I have sent several emails back and forth but there is still no technician in sight and phoning is not any better. Today the store told me I would hear from Service in 3-5 work days (really)!I will not be buying anything from them again because of their poor customer service and hope this problem gets fixed soon.I spent just under $2000 for chair to end up with this dissatisfying outcome.

I purchased a couch from La-Z-Boy 7 months ago. On the side of all 3 cushions in the same spot the seam split and frayed. It is obvious it's a manufacturer defect. The Service department called me and stated if we put this through to the manufacturer the would say I did it. Seriously! It's on the side of the cushions in the exact same spot! I have pictures to prove it. When I responded that if they say I did this we would go to court. So disappointed!

We cannot say enough about the quality of customer service provided by Ghada Shaheen. She went above and beyond what is expected in dealing with our issues in a highly timely and responsive manner. It is so important when dealing with significant and long term acquisitions that you are guided by a qualified and empathetic professional and business model whose purpose is to ensure that the client is totally satisfied with their purchase. It is refreshing, yet not surprising, that Lazyboy and its staff abide by this dogma. This is a competitive business. However with service such as that provided by Ms Shaheen backed by a business with a solid reputation there is no doubt that this is the place to shop.

I went shopping for a La-Z-Boy recliner for my nephew Jake, someone with special needs, including when it comes to seating. Accompanied by my two adult daughters, we worked with Ghada Shaheen who was both patient and knowledgeable about the products. It tells you about the kind of service you get when you're inspired to send the salesperson a picture of your nephew in his new chair to let her know what a difference she had made. Large facility and easy to remain physically distant. They have directional arrows between couches and chairs and stickers reminding everyone to remain two meters apart. Staff were all wearing masks, disinfectant station at the front door.

We have recently completed the purchase and delivery of our new La-Z-Boy Furniture for 2 rooms in our home from the Cyrville location. The dedicated staff was extremely courteous and professional. Our Design Consultant Cliff and the In-Home Designer Magaly, were extremely helpful and made the purchase and design choices extremely easy for us. Dan the Store Manager, made the final payments and delivery scheduling very easy. The delivery personnel Corey and Jason exhibited the utmost in professionalism and provided that attention to detail that was second to none. By far best furniture for living. We have owned a number of La-Z-Boy originals advert the years. Be prepared for lengthy delivery times if you go to specific with your order requirements.

In store experience very good. Shopped around and soon negotiated a fantastic deal on a glider for our newborn daughter. Due to the pandemic, there are major delays, and store manager Ron fixed us up with a rocker on loan until our piece is ready. Fantastic customer service like I've never received. Thank you so much! Looking forward to our new glider as we're enjoying our current rocker.

Mega Sale is on. Made a great purchase at the Cyrville Road store, a sleeper chair, perfect size for a small bedrooom now being used as a home office. Very friendly staff. Service was very good. Teba was a great help. Social distancing and safety practices are in place. Delivery arrangements have been scheduled. Looking forward to my new purchase.

CAUTION! Warranty IS BAIT AND SWITCH.When I was in less than a month ago, I was told in order to make a claim it was just $250 for the tech to travel to your house.My Parent were told:WarrantyDOES NOT COVER.- Shipping of part- Duty on part (Because they are NOT MADE IN CANADA) perhaps assembled here)- Travel expenses from OTTAWAWarranty Just covers the part itself.This store did NOTHING TO HELP my parents and their $10g purchase for couch and chair within warranty. They even bought the extended warranty (useless).How can a warranty not cover all expenses to fix over inflated product in order to make it work again.Bolt became loose and fell out and sheared bolt when exiting.**UPdate**Wow that was a fast reply from company. This is a good sign. I have forwarded the email to my father at 10am Mar 30th. I will update the review following the outcome of the conversation.

Bought a new sofa from La-z-Boy, we received excellent help from Greg, he was very knowledgeable, and very patient with us as we were undecided between 2 different sofas. He never rushed us at all. We’ve purchased furniture from La-z-boy before and have always received great service! Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased couches and a chair from La-Z-Boy after trying to make a purchase at Leon's I made an order at Leon's for couches and a chair and waited 18 weeks and never received anything I had to go into Leon's and ask when I would see the stuff I ordered they didn'tHave a clue they were stunned I then said to Leon's that they would have to do something for me for the wait they told me to let them get it in my house then they would do some thing for me I was stunned I went home and researched the stuff I bought from Leon's and realize the reviews sucked then I researched what was the best furniture on the market lazy boy came up number one I decided to go intoLa-Z-Boy and see what they had the salesman I dealt with in Kingston his name was Greg and he was very thorough and very helpful he knew what he had and he knew his material differences he was able to set me up with something very nice within a week I had couches in my house thatWe are in love with thanks Greg from La-Z-Boy an Kingston I hope the quality holds up to the reviews and I hope the warranty holds up to the standards PS it took almost 3 weeks to even get my money back from Leon's when they took my money the same day I ordered I will never be back to Leon's again lazy boy all the way

From my first contact with the store, I was pleased. My sales agent, Kim, was a pleasure to have serving me, and responded to my queries quickly. Now that my living room chairs have arrived, I am very happy. Due to Covid 19, I could not bring fabric samples home and was therefore nervous re my choice. All is well! I had a rewarding experience this morning at the Kingston La-Z-Boy. The salesperson was very helpful (and patient) with fabric options available. I was able to find a comfortable loveseat, an attractive fabric choice, and at an affordable price. Thank you Ken.My loveseat was delivered this morning. It’s perfect😄😄. The delivery window was between 10:00 and 12:00. They were here by 10:15 and were very polite and courteous. I would recommend La-Z-Boy to anyone. Thanks again

An older gentleman approached my friend and I only to immediately dismiss us. We got the impression that it was due to our young age, being two females shopping together & that we were wearing casual comfy clothing. He informed us that all the bedroom sets they sell are high end & he's not sure that's what we are looking for. He was quick to judge and made assumptions so we left and spent our money elsewhere. Some sensitivity, diversity & inclusion training is recommended.

The sale staff were excellent and very knowledgeable about their products and were very helpful in helping us make our decision on what we wanted. The delivery process was first class. The truck arrived, the guys brought the chair into the house, set it up, tested everything and were gone all in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend

The entire staff at the Kingston location made us feel welcome in their store. They allowed us time to walk around the store and look before asking if we needed any assistance which we totally appreciated.When we were asked what brought us into the store we indicated we were looking for living room furniture, and sofa bed, as well as dinning room chairs .I indicated I wanted something firm that supported my back as well that my feet touched the floor and that it reclined for comfort.Well all these qualities were met and every question we had was explained.Because of the pleasant manner of the staff and knowledge of their products, we ended up purchasing all of our furniture there.We are still waiting on some pieces we ordered as they were customized for us. They were very informative on how long the delivery would take.We have received 3 of the item's we purchased and there delivery staff were excellent.We did have a problem with our reclineing chair and when I called with my concerns that was addressed and is now being rectified.Totally pleased with our Lazyboy experience.Deb & Tom Kennedy

Great staff! Perfect delivery and weeks ahead of schedule. Seems like a superior product and we are confident it will last for years. We never saw anything close to the quality of LZBoy products anywhere. Our sales representative was polite, succinct and well versed with the product. Purchased a sofa and loveseeat from Kingston La-Z-Boy store and we were not completely satisfied with the loveseat selection we originally made. Thankfully, we had the pleasure of dealing with Randa (the store Manager) and she made it abondantly clear that our satisfaction was her mission and she delivered. Her patience, courtesy and unparalleled savoir-faire made the entire process pleasant as she expertly explained and demonstrated the various factors to ensure our eventual purchase met all our needs and desires. Never have my wife and I been so pleased with a furniture purchase and we are not that easy to please. Here in Kingston everyone is very helpful and patient, went back three times before actually making a decision and they were always welcoming and informative.Went back to buy a second couch after our first purchase of a sectional, a rocker this time for our nursury, got a great price, quick to deliver and amazing customer service! Even after the sale.

Sales women was lovely. Store agreed on a pick up date that was agreed upon. Come pick up day they were not able to “inspect” the couch due to their staffing (not my problem). I made it clear I arranged help and I planned to pick it up that day. I was told with attitude that if I picked it up that day there would be no warranty etc I was made to feel like I was the problem because I insisted I pick it up on the day that was agreed on! Brutal.

We bought a 3 seat couch from them December 2017 and a year prior we bought a single recliner.The fabric on both pieces today shows significant wear all over. Called service and was told nothing can be done. We thought La-z-boy was better quality than this. Didn't even last 2 years. Eyesores in our Family room

Leather electric recliner purchased...electric mechanism problems, leather upholstery had acknowledged flaws in sewing. Because of problems with this model, subsequent to our purchase it was removed from the market. We returned unit, selected another, slightly less costly but not identical unit, as it was no longer available. Replacement unit had no problems however we could not get refund on price difference, had to select “decor” merchandise we didn’t need in lieu of refund.
