About the Ferndale Chair

Starting with unique features, the Ferndale is known as “a reclining chair with understated style and unlimited possibilities,” according to the La-Z-Boy website. 

This is shown with its unique key-shaped arms and a slim, inset back cushion that gives its clean lines and a modern edge. There is also a solid wood base and tapered wood legs that hold this chair together, which adds sophistication to the piece.

This chair has reclining comfort, but not in the way you may think! While you can simply push back on the arms of the chair and adjust the back, the Ferndale does not come with a hidden legrest like the rest of our secret recliners. While it may not have a legrest like our traditional Secret Recliners, you can complete the feel of reclining with the matching ottoman.

The Ferndale Ottoman can be used as an extra seat or a legrest. “These two pieces work hand-in-hand to create a lovely seating arrangement,” says Racha.

The Ferndale also comes as a swivel gliding chair. Built on a 360-degree swivel base, this motion furniture piece will keep you at the center of all the action in your living room. The gliding option, allows your chair to move in a smooth and graceful motion, similar to rocking chairs. The only difference is the motion is not arched but linear.

Even though the Ferndale is small, it has a taller back than other chairs, which seats those with a taller scale. “This is also because of the higher wood legs, too,” Racha says.
