This sophisticated and stylish chair features softly rolled arms, a sleek transitional look and high-tapered wood legs that help the Fletcher recline easily.
The Fletcher High-Leg Recliner is also considered one of La-Z-Boy Home Furnishing’s High-Leg Recliners, also referred to as Secret Recliners.
As the name suggests, these recliners have distinct high legs, giving them a stationary look, with the ability to recline once seated. To recline, push back on the arms of the chair to release the legrest in two comfortable reclining positions.

Generally speaking about the size, the Fletcher is larger than other high-leg recliners at La-Z-Boy. Nicole explains, “The Fletcher is one of our larger high-leg recliners, meaning it might be too bulky in size to fit smaller rooms.”

Further, Nicole says that the Fletcher also has a taller back than other high-leg recliners at La-Z-Boy, adding to its more sizable frame. Fletcher’s seat perfectly fits those within a 5’10”- 6’2” scale.
While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.
Ultimately, we recommend always coming in for a sit test to see if the Fletcher is comfortable for your body type. To learn more, take a look at How to Find a Recliner That is The Best Fit For You.

Now that you know everything about the Fletcher High-Leg Reclining Chair, you might still wonder if this is the right furniture item for you.
In terms of functionality, Nicole says that this chair is very versatile because it can double as a stationary chair or a recliner. “If you want it to remain as a stationary furniture piece, you can always keep it like that and match it with one of our Best Selling Ottomans,” she says.
She also says that the Fletcher in power might be better for those who have trouble pushing back on the chair or struggle with back pain or mobility issues.
Moreover, because of the larger scale, this chair might be the wrong fit for shorter individuals and those with a small space. Check out this article if you're looking for Recliners for Short People.
Finally, in terms of style, Nicole says that the Fletcher is considered transitional, which combines modern, contemporary and traditional design styles.
Nicole also says that some people compare the Haven to the Fletcher because they have similar frames. While the Haven is also a high-leg recliner with a modern look, it is shorter than the Fletcher and does not have rolled arms.
If you are, however, looking for a more modern furniture frame, the Haven High-Leg Recliner may interest you more.
