The Natalie furniture family, for example, has been around for quite some time but is not considered a best-seller, according to Tim Young, a sales consultant at La-Z-Boy Hunt Club.

“What you see in the showrooms are what we consider best-sellers,” he says, “but, unfortunately, the Natalie hasn’t been on our floors in a while.”

About the Natalie Furniture Family

Known as an easygoing blend of comfort and style, this mid-scale-sized furniture family features flared rolled arms, decorative wood legs, and welt trim on the arm posts.

The Natalie also includes ComfortCore cushions, which provide just the right amount of optimal comfort for a long or short sit.

Tim states, “The Natalie has a more traditional look because of the rolled arms, which are normally the indicator for traditional looking furniture items.” Tim also says that the tight back gives it “a clean and neat look,” which helps accentuate the traditional styling of the furniture.

Although the Natalie is known as a traditionally styled furniture family, you can still change the look of these furniture items drastically with the help of some unique fabric covers, which we will discuss later in this article.

In terms of sizing, Tim explains that the size and dimensions of the Natalie are “an average size for a furniture frame.” With this, the Natalie will fit nicely in most average-sized spaces.

It is also important to consider the size of the Natalie in comparison to your unique height and body type.

Given that the Natalie features a bit of a taller scale, the Natalie is most comfortable for those between the height of 5’10” to 6’2”.

Pillow Options

The Natalie Chair & a Half and Sofa come with pillows, which means you can customize those as well. You can accessorize your pillows by adding an accent colour to them, as well as contrasting welt, cording or fringe. What's more, there are also 6 select accent pillow options to choose from, which will not increase the price of your furniture.

If you want to get specific, you can also request feather padding for your pillows instead of the usual foam padding.

Queen Sleeper Sofa Upgrade

The Natalie Sofa comes in many different configurations, one being a queen sleep sofa. With the Natalie Supreme-Comfort Queen Sleep Sofa, you can turn any living room into a guest room. 

Along with the unique features of the original sofa, the Natalie queen sleeper offers overnight guests a queen-size supreme comfort quilted innerspring mattress that measures 5.5” thick.

The sleeper mattresses can be upgraded to include either a Slumber Air mattress, which is an inflatable air mattress for extra adjustability, or a firmer mattress that provides a more solid sleeping surface, similar to the firm cushion upgrade.

Is the Natalie furniture family right for you?

In terms of functionality, the Natalie can work well in many different-sized rooms. Tim says, “the loveseat is perfect for smaller spaces, while the sofa and chair combo work well in a bigger living room.”

“If you’re short, you might not be able to reach the headrest, and if you’re too tall, your head might feel not supported by the sofa,” says Tim.
