Choosing a sectional should fit your space and align with your vision. For those focused on one main seating area, it’s often the go-to choice. But what if one sectional could adapt between big and small? Enter the Tahoe!
As Darren Semchison, a sales consultant at La-Z-Boy Kingston, puts it, the Tahoe is “possibly the most intuitive and flexible sectional we’ve ever had on our floors.”
Curious how? This article covers all you need to know about the Tahoe Sectional and whether it’s right for your home.

But that’s not all it features. Darren reveals that the arms of this sectional hold extra storage when sliding the top of the piece away from the frame. “These arms are slim but can hold a lot of convenient things like linens and other personal belongings,” he says.
What’s more, this Sectional is very intuitive and can be configured to become a chair or a loveseat as well. This means that the modular pieces included are more flexible than other modular pieces from other La-Z-Boy sectionals.
“We haven’t had anything like this besides maybe the Montrose Sectional,” Darren points out. While the Montrose is a flexible powerhouse as well, this sectional doesn’t have nearly as many configurations to choose from as the Tahoe.
What’s more, Darren compares the comfort of the Tahoe similarly to the Paxton, which is one of our best-selling sectionals of all time. “It’s the same comfort but the seats are not as deep which means more people can comfortably sit in it,” he says.
That being said, given its deep seats and sizing, the Tahoe is best suited for taller individuals when seated, but the depth also allows for comfortable lounging, making it perfect for people of all heights to lie down and relax.
While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.
This is why we highly recommend coming in-store and taking a sit test to determine if the Tahoe is right for your unique body type. To learn more, take a look at our article How to Find a Sofa That is The Best Fit For You.

The Tahoe comes with a variety of options and upgrades to enhance your comfort and style:
When selecting the fabric or leather for your Tahoe, the cost will vary based on the grade you choose. Select fabrics will not affect the starting price of your furniture, but anything beyond that will.
This includes select leather and anything inside our leather selections at La-Z-Boy.

*Please note that this article's leather or fabric options may be discontinued or unavailable without prior notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by any changes to our upholstery selection.
Alongside our extensive range of covers, the Tahoe is also available in specialty fabrics and leathers that offer unique features and benefits…
At an additional cost, Tahoe cushions can also be upgraded to include firmer cushioning, meaning over time, your furniture will remember your unique figure and enhance the comfort of your furniture. This could be a great option for people with mobility issues, allowing you to get in and out of your furniture more comfortably.
The Tahoe loveseat and sofa come with pillows, which means you can customize those as well. You can accessorize your pillows by adding an accent colour to them, as well as contrasting welt, cording or fringe.
If you want to get specific, you can also request feather padding for your pillows instead of the usual foam padding.
Customers have the option to choose a contrasting welt trim to accentuate the design of the furniture. Furthermore, patterned welt trim options are available, which can enhance the aesthetics of the furniture frame.
La-Z-Boy is all about customization, including customizing the legs of your Furniture. Tahoe’s legs can come in one of 3 finish options:
The Tahoe falls within the low-to-high range at La-Z-Boy. This is due to the versatile range of the different configurations the Tahoe can have. While the cost of the Tahoe Sectional is considered standard at La-Z-Boy, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy furniture is considered more expensive in the market. This cost is reflected in the quality of materials and craftsmanship of our products.
Starting at $3,999 in its smallest configuration with select fabrics, the cost of the Tahoe Sectional is subject to increase based on your customization, configuration, and upgrade selections.
Please note that La-Z-Boy prices listed in this article are subject to change without notice. Information is current as of October 29th, 2024. Contact your local La-Z-Boy Ottawa and Kingston store by phone or in person for up-to-date pricing.

There is no question that the Tahoe Sectional is a great piece of furniture. But the question remains… is it the right sectional for you?
Generally speaking, The Tahoe Sectional offers a blend of functionality and style, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a multifunctional furniture piece. Its deep, wide seats provide ample space for lounging, making it ideal for families who enjoy shared seating or those who love to stretch out and relax.
The seats are also not too deep which means more people may feel comfortable sitting in this furniture piece than our popular Paxton Sectional, according to Darren.
What’s more the modular design allows you to customize the sectional’s configuration to fit your room, whether you have a large or small space, offering flexibility for various layouts. As mentioned before, the Tahoe can be configured into an accent chair if desired, using the two storage console arms and armless chair as the base of the furniture.
In terms of style, the Tahoe combines modern and contemporary elements. Its clean lines and track arms create a balanced, transitional look that works well in contemporary homes.
However, even though the seats are comfy, they may be too wide for some interiors. According to Darren, while perfect for lounging, those who have a smaller space might feel that even the chair configuration may be too big for their space.
“I would suggest going for a smaller piece like the Ottoman if you still love the style,” he says. After all, less is more in a small home. If you're looking for versatility, Darren also suggests the Montrose Sectional, since this product is smaller and can still offer multiple configurations in a small space as well.
