Depending on where you live, you might know of a place called Brentwood. According to this Wikipedia page, there are over 20 places called Brentwood alone!

While this is interesting, what does it have to do with La-Z-Boy furniture? Well, Brentwood may be known for the name of multiple towns and cities, but it also shares a name with our very own Brentwood Chair.

The Brentwood High-Leg Recliner has been around for quite some time now and it has gotten a new revival thanks to some minor adjustments. But what makes this stylish furniture piece unique from other furniture frames at La-Z-Boy?

Unique Features

The Brentwood is a unique furniture piece distinct from our other high-leg recliners. Comparing it to similar pieces, it offers unmatched versatility.

With its button-tufting and dainty elegant legs, the Brentwood exudes a vintage charm, evoking a retro feel.

Furthermore, besides functioning as a stationary piece and offering the hidden ability to recline, the Brentwood can also come equipped with unique power controls and an exclusive design change, which we’ll elaborate on later.

The Brentwood features flared arms, welt trim that frames the box border seat cushions and double-picked blown fibre fill for improved shape retention.

To recline, simply push back on the arms of the chair to reveal the pop-up legrest hidden underneath the cushion.

Sizes & Dimensions

Taking a look at Brentwood’s size, you can tell that this chair is large and in charge. Certainly not as large as some of our other chairs, but this high-leg recliner is one of the bigger selections on our floor. 

Due to its features, the Brentwood may not be as suitable for smaller spaces, depending on the existing furniture frames in your room. It might require slightly more space than other chairs to function optimally.

Further, the Brentwood also has a taller back which means those between the heights of 5’10” to 6’2” might enjoy this recliner more than others.

Keep in mind, though, that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

When selecting the fabric for your Brentwood, the cost will vary based on the grade you choose. Each grade offers different qualities and characteristics, allowing you to find the perfect balance between your desired style and budget.

There are also leather options to choose from. The Brentwood can come in renew leather–this is a performance fabric that mimics leather but is not actually leather. 

It is considered fade-resistant, highly durable, eco-friendly, and cleans well with the use of soap and water. All layers are bonded together, washed, and tumbled to have the same look, texture, and feel of genuine leather. 

Leather options, beyond the select leather, will always increase the overall cost. Ultimately, the choice of choosing fabric or leather is up to you, if you’re willing to spend extra cash on leather products.

Warranty

The Brentwood High-Leg Recliner is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given time.

Is the Brentwood High-Leg Recliner Right For You?

Firstly, the Brentwood is considered in the mid-price range for recliners at La-Z-Boy. It isn’t considered too expensive because the reclining mechanism is not as intricate as traditional recliners.

However, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy furniture is considered expensive compared to other Kingston and Ottawa furniture stores.

Although this is the case, La-Z-Boy furniture is made to last longer than other furniture pieces, due to the higher quality materials used within the construction of the piece. Secondly, the Brentwood is a multifunctional piece of furniture. Given that it is a push-back recliner, you have the choice to use it however you see fit.
